Youth Ministry Text
Youth Ministry - The Well Logo

We want all of our youth to know Jesus Christ and to find their ultimate joy and satisfaction in Him.

We have designed our youth ministry to deepen understanding of the greatness of our God and to give encouragement in the pursuit of godliness. It is our desire to see students not just grow in their faith, but to own their faith. Luke 2:52 tells us that "Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and with people."

During the critical teenage years, we long for students to follow in Jesus' example; to grow in "wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and with people."

**Background checks through Protect My Ministry are required to serve in the Youth Ministry.

The DNOW Pastor: Our Pastor this year is Dr. Greg Wilton. Greg is the Dean of Leavell College and the assistant professor of Missions and Evangelism. He is excited to be joining us and can't wait to see what God will do in this weekend.

The DNOW Band: Our worship band this year is 317 Collective. 317 Collective is a worship collective from Burleson, TX with one goal in mind - To worship and glorify Jesus through song. We believe that one moment in the presence of Jesus can change someone forever. We lead worship for retreats, conferences, and events to help individuals develop a growing relationship with Jesus.

Michael Nanney

Minister of Students and Single Adults

I started at FBC Flora in August of 2020. I have the privilege of leading students in grades 7-12, as well as college students and single adults. In addition to student ministry, I assist the church’s media and production efforts, ensuring worship services and events are communicated effectively and with excellence.  My favorite aspect of FBC Flora is the strong sense of community and family; from the moment my wife and I walked through the doors, we were welcomed and treated like family. I’m married to Laine Nanney, who teaches seventh-grade English at Brandon Middle School.  When not serving the church, I enjoy working out, playing music, and spending time outdoors.

Student Ministry Intern

I have been interning at FBC Flora since February 2023, and my favorite thing about First Baptist Flora is this community and how we care for one another like family. My family includes my mom, Sharon Thompson, my brother, Brock, my sister-in-law, Cassidy and my nephew, Webber. In my free time, I enjoy watching football on Sundays and hanging out with friends.
